At last the class have finally had the opportunity to go to the woods for a Forest School lesson. There was great excitement and everyone was eager to get started.
The children were able to remember the FS rules, which they were able to tell to the new members of the class. It was pleasing to see that the children were able to explain what each rule meant as well as its importance. During the session I did not have to remind any of the children of the rules.
As it was only a short lesson today, the object of the lesson was to refamiliarise the children with the area and observe the changes in the trees, paths and surroundings. It was an opportunity for the group to initiate their own games and activities. They ranged from making mud monsters, constructing stick towers and just enjoying the time to let off steam and exploring the woods on their own. The whole group were focused and seemed to enjoy their time in the woods.
The whole group had an amazing time, take a look and see.
