As the children have been learning about The Celts and how they lived, we went to the woods to do some cooking.
Mrs Rees found a recipe for Bannock, which is a type of bread cooked in Celtic times. It is made from wholemeal flour, white flour, sugar and milk. The children were given the ingredients to mix together. It was then put onto a bake stone and cooked on the campfire. We even put some of the mixture onto the end of some sticks and tried to cook it like that.
The Bannock did cook a bit too well but it was really tasty and the children really wanted more. We will just have to do it again another day. Take a look at the pictures.
