Mmmm. Marshmallows and hot chocolate.

Despite the wind and the possible chance of rain, we were able to have a campfire in the woodland. The fire took a while to get going, needing a little help from some newspaper to get the flames started.

Once the fire had taken hold, the jug was put on the fire to warm the milk for the hot chocolate. The children then took it in turns to toast the marshmallows. They could then put them in between chocolate biscuits to make smores. They were so delicious, some children having more than one.

When the hot chocolate was ready, the children tucked in to it. It was a nice treat to end the groups Forest school sessions for this term. Take a look at the photographs at us having fun.
