Nursery Minibeast Hunt

Today we went to the woods to hunt for Minibeasts. The weather was not very good, so we had to wear wellies and waterproofs. We all had picture wheels and picture sheets to help us identify the creatures. some of the creatures were easier to find then others. We also took turns to use the magnifying glasses.

We found some lovely purple flowers, that the bees really liked. We watched them going from flower to flower, collecting the pollen to take back to their hive to make the honey.

We also found orange and brown spotty slugs, worms, a spider and some baby snails. We did not find any butterflies, ladybirds or dragonflies. We think they stayed home because the sun was not shining.
