Nursery plays Robin Hood

The children have been learning about Robin Hood in Nursery, so today we went to the woods to make bows and arrows. The children collected sticks and were helped to tie string to the to make the bows. We did use other sticks as arrows but this was not very successful. We would never have made one of his merry men. The children loved this activity, some pretending to fire pretend arrows.

We also made Robin Hood style hats in the classroom this week and took them to the woods. The children stuck leaves to their hats, using glue sticks. The children had to dry the leaves first as they were very wet.

Despite the weather, we all had a lovely time in our own woods, pretending to be Robin Hood.
