Nursery's Spring Hunt.

Today the nursery children went for a walk in the woods, to see if spring had arrived. The morning children went in foggy weather and the afternoon children had glorious sunshine. We did need our wellies on, as it was still quite muddy, but there was no need for waterproof trousers.

The task today was to explore the woodland, to find thing that would tell us that Spring had arrived. The children had to look for new leaves, buds on the trees and spring flowers. The group were all given a picture sheet, containing ideas of what to look for and a bag to collect the things they had found. this was great fun and most of the children were able to find lots of things to go in their bags.

There was also time to explore on their own, climb trees and play with their friends. It was lovely to see some children building new friendships. Take a look at our photographs.
