Pirate Orienteering with Pearl Class

This was the last Forest school session for Pearl Class this term and as they have been learning about Under the Sea, the children had to hunt for treasure and catch fish. The children had a go at Orienteering, which involved using a map, locating the flags and using the punches to mark each point. The children really enjoyed the activity and some of them did find the treasure.

The children also had to collect fish, using fishing rods. They then had to identify the letter printed on the fish and see how many different under water items they could think of beginning with that letter sound. This was fun too, even if we did get the fishing rods tangled up a few times.

We even had time to explore the woods too. The children noticed how everything had changed and how much the bushes and weeds had grown since their last visit.
