Porthkerry Park

Today the children went to Porthkerry Park in Barry, to explore a new woodland and to experience a pebble beach, something some of the children had never done before.

We arrived at the park, had our picnic and a play in the adventure park. Then it was off to walk through the woods and explore the Forest School areas. The children made natural dens, hunted for minibeasts and climbed trees, during the afternoon. We then walked through the park to the pebble beach. The children then played for a while, before returning to the minibus. Just in time too, as it started to rain as we left the park.

it was a lovely afternoon, and something the children said they would really love to do again. Take a look at our photos and see what we got up to.
