This week the children did an amazing job of clearing the litter, checking for any dangers and helping to build up the barriers. This is an important activity to help the children learn to respect their woodland and look after it.
This week we also planted some saplings that had been given to the school by The Woodland Trust. The children were shown how to plant a tree correctly and suitable places to position the trees. We now have some expert tree planters in the group.
The whole session was a very effective and the children enjoyed the activity. The children had the opportunity to have some free time to explore on their own before returning to school.
