It was time to give our woodland a spring clean. So with tools in hand, lots of willing children, parents, staff and grandparents, we set off to pick up litter, clear the paths, remove weeds from the log circle and put down bark.
And what a busy bunch of workers we had. The children worked incredibly hard moving up and down the paths, with their wheelbarrows full of bark. The grown ups cleared the pathways and got rid of the weeds, with the help of the older children.
We even built a fort made from wooden pallets for the children to use during their Forest School sessions. This was a real team effort, with some of the youngest children getting involved. And what an amazing result.
The morning was rewarded with drinks, biscuits and yummy cakes, to say thank you for everyone hard work. It was tremendous to see how everyone worked together to make our woodland look amazing. So a really big thank you to those who took part.
